Hatchet's Habit & Me

I am the poem written for an audience of no one. These poems reflect a life willing

to discover the true nature of myself and others I encountered visually or

personally.

At first furious

and young, I

surrendered to

all the fashionable

Buddhas

who convert

every skirt

into a

night

of sparkle and

spite;

at once,

always

in love with

flesh in

the light of her

retreat,

where I laughed

at prophets who

predicted

every blizzard into

a mixture of

snow and

flight; then

flying from

love, I meet

Maya,

as a prayer

to love
